Description

Herpex Cream contains acyclovir as the active ingredient. Acyclovir is an antiviral medication that is used to treat infections caused primarily by the herpes virus. This medication is applied topically on the skin to treat colds sores (herpes laboratoryialis) as well as other herpes simplex infection.

How Herpex Cream Works:

Acyclovir interferes with viral DNA synthesis. It is incorporated into the viral chain of DNA during replication, causing premature chain termination. This inhibits the virus’s ability to replicate and spread, which helps control the infection.
